Payments, Delivery & Returns Policy

 

Price and Payment Methods

 

1. Limited-edition print price is the price offered by Basement Gallery and is confirmed to the buyer at the checkout of the order or by written invoice issued by Basement Gallery.

 

2. Product price provided at the checkout or in the written invoice includes the cost of the print, packaging and delivery, VAT, sale or similar duty which may be applied. Any fees and taxes applied will be billed to and paid by the Buyer as set forth in the written invoice issued by Basement Gallery.

 

3. All payments shall be made in British Pounds Sterling and the full price is to be paid at the time of placing an order unless agreed otherwise in writing.

 

4. Basement Gallery reserves the right to increase prices at any time.

 

5. We accept payments via credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal and direct bank transfer. 

 

6. If you wish to remit payments via wire transfer, please CONTACT US so that we may supply you with our banking details and so that we may process your order off-line. On receipt of your funds, your order will be fulfilled. Please note that the buyer is liable for any transfer costs incurred.

 

 

Export Payment and VAT Information

 

7. All prices shown on our website include VAT (UK Sales Tax). The current VAT rate in the United Kingdom (UK) is 20%. If your order is to be delivered outside of the European Union (EU), you do not have to pay VAT. In this case, VAT will be automatically deducted from the product price at checkout. Any import duties and taxes (if applicable) are the responsibility of the buyer.

 

 

Currency Conversion

 

8. If you would like to know the cost of our limited edition print in a currency other than £ Sterling (GBP), please click HERE where you will be able to calculate the equivalent cost in your own home currency. Please note, all transactions will be billed in GBP. The exact cost of your order in your own currency will be determined by the exchange rate on the date on which your credit card transaction is processed.

 

9. At Basement Gallery, we attempt to describe our limited-edition prints offered as accurately as possible. However, we do not warrant that product description or other content of the website are 100% accurate, complete, reliable, current or error-free. If a product offered by us and purchased by you is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition for a conforming replacement, refund or credit.

 

 

Delivery Information

 

10. Unless otherwise agreed by the parties, delivery of the Goods shall be to the Buyer’s home or business address.

 

11. Basement Gallery aims to hold all limited-edition prints in stock for despatch within 5 business days of your order being placed.

 

12. All our limited-edition prints are only delivered unframed.

 

13. All our limited-edition prints are carefully rolled in robust postal tubes.

 

14. Basement Gallery will make its best effort to deliver goods by the agreed date or within a reasonable time if no dates are stated. All delivery dates are estimates only and time and delivery are not of the essence.

 

15. The buyer must inspect the goods upon delivery and advise Basement Gallery of any defects within 5 business days of the delivery date. Defects reported beyond this time frame will not be considered.

 

16. Risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to the buyer upon delivery.

 

17. Packaging and delivery of your goods will be handled on our behalf by our printing house Point101.

 

18. We do not accept responsibility for delays in shipping caused by Royal Mail, courier companies, the weather conditions or other factors beyond our control.

Delivery Time

 

20. UK: 1 - 3 business days

 

Prints delivered free within the UK are sent via 24hr Royal Mail Tracked and Signed service. Our free delivery service does not include the option to choose the delivery date and time. Once the full payment is received, you should expect your print to arrive in 1 - 3 business days. Please note that all our prints are delivered in postal tubes, therefore a signature will be required upon receipt of the delivery. You may want to request that your order is sent to a work address.

 

If you require guaranteed delivery by a particular date/time, please contact us for a quote for delivery by courier.

     

      EU: 5 - 7 business days

 

Prints delivered within the EU are sent via Royal Mail Tracked and Signed service and should arrive within 7 business days. Please note that a signature will be required upon receipt of the delivery, so you may want to request that your order is sent to a work address.

 

Royal Mail is not able to offer a delivery date confirmation service for deliveries outside of the UK. If you require guaranteed delivery by a particular date/time, please contact us for a quote for delivery by courier.

 

     REST OF THE WORLD: 7 - 10 business days

 

Orders exported outside of the European Union (EU) should arrive within 10 business days. Please note that a signature will be required upon receipt of the delivery, so you may want to request that your order is sent to a work address.

 

Royal Mail is not able to offer a delivery date confirmation service for deliveries outside of the UK. If you require guaranteed delivery by a particular date/time, please contact us for a quote for delivery by courier.

 

 

Returns

 

21. Our refunds policy does not affect your statutory rights. We are committed to quality products and your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed.

 

22. Please contact our office by emailing info@basementgallery.co.uk or telephoning +(44) 20 3509 0919 within 5 business days of the day the item was received stating your name, the item(s) you wish to return, a brief description of the reason for return, and let us know if you are seeking a replacement or refund. Please do not return any items to us before contacting us.

 

23. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase or change your mind after you have purchased a print, you may return it within 5 business days of receipt and receive a replacement or a refund for the price of the product. Please note that orders paid for by credit card attract a 3% handling fee by the card issuer, which is not redeemable and will be passed onto the customer if a refund is given (this is not applicable for purchases by debit card or bank transfer).

 

24. If your limited-edition print has been damaged in transit, it will be necessary to email photos of both the damaged poster and postal tube to info@basementgallery.co.uk before we are able to proceed with issuing a replacement or refund.

 

25. If you decide to swap your limited-edition print after you have purchased it, you may do so subject to a restocking and handling charge of £19.95 (this covers the cost of fulfilment, postage and packing of the new poster, as well as the manual alteration of our stock database).

 

26. We will not refund your costs in returning the item to us unless you are returning the item because of an error on our part.

 

27. We regret that we cannot accept the return of goods that are not in as-new saleable condition i.e. finger-marked, torn, folded etc. Please do not sign or give anyone else permission to sign on your behalf, to accept items that have been damaged in transit, as this makes it impossible for us to claim on the insurance provided by the courier company.

 

28. Any item returned must be packed in its original tube. We strongly encourage you to return your item(s) via a trackable method.

 

29. On receipt of your item, subject to it fulfilling the criteria stated above, we will refund the purchase price of the item to the card used for the original transaction (less a 3% credit card handling fee, if applicable) or arrange for delivery of the correct item or replacement for a damaged item to be despatched to you.

 

30. Your request will be processed within 5 business days and you will receive an email, or phone call, letting you know your replacement is being issued or your refund is being processed.
